Module 4: The Conversion Process
This is it—the core lesson of the entire course. You have a free, clean canvas (our sacred seed template) and a beautiful, AI-generated website design. This module will show you how to seamlessly merge these two components to bring your custom website to life on Blogger. The process is simple and requires no advanced coding knowledge.
The Conversion Process: A 4-Step Guide
Follow these steps to take your raw HTML code and convert it into a fully functional Blogger-compatible website. This method is what allows for the 'free and forever' part of our promise.
-
Step 1: Extract the CSS
Open your AI-generated HTML file in a simple text editor. Find the `` tag and **copy all the code inside it**. This is all your styling. Go to your Blogger dashboard, navigate to **Theme**, click **Edit HTML**, find the `<b:skin>` tag, and paste your CSS code just after the `<b:skin>` line. Save the theme.
-
Step 2: Separate the Header and Footer
Return to your HTML file. Find the `
` and `
` sections. Copy the complete HTML for the **header** (from `
` to `
`) and paste it into a temporary text file. Do the same for the **footer** (from `
` to `
`). These parts will be injected using Blogger's Layout widgets.
-
Step 3: Prepare the Main Content
Now, locate the `
` section of your HTML. This contains the primary content of your website (hero section, modules, testimonials, etc.). Copy all the code inside the `
` and `
` tags. This is the code for your homepage. It will be pasted directly into a new Blogger post.
-
Step 4: Inject and Publish
In your Blogger dashboard, go to the **Layout** tab. Find the "Header" and "Footer" sections and add a new "HTML/JavaScript" gadget to each. Paste the header code into the Header gadget and the footer code into the Footer gadget. Finally, go to the **Posts** tab, create a new post, switch to "HTML view," and paste your main content code. Publish the post without a title to make it your new homepage.
By following these simple steps, you've successfully transformed a raw HTML file into a complete, professional, and responsive website hosted for free on Blogger. This process is repeatable for any design you can generate, giving you unlimited creative freedom without the cost.
